The full cast has been announced for John Logan’s PETER AND ALICE, joining 007 Skyfall duo Dame Judi Dench (M) and Ben Whishaw (Q). Nicholas Farrell, Ruby Bentall and Olly Alexander will appear in the second production of the highly anticipated Michael Grandage season at the Noël Coward Theatre.

Last seen on the West End stage in South Downs and The Browning Version at the Harold Pinter Theatre, Farrell, will play author Lewis Carroll. His previous credits include the National Theatre’s Stuff Happens and Dinner, The Lady In The Van and Birdsong.

Bentall will assume the title role of Alice. A regular at the National Theatre, she’s currently starring in its production of Hansel And Gretel, in addition to having appeared in Grief, The Miracle, DNA and Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat. Bentall is also recognisable for her TV appearances on The Paradise, Larkrise To Candleford and New Tricks.

Alexander will play Peter Pan alongside Bentall’s Alice. Best known for his screen roles in such films as Great Expectations, God Help The Girl, Gulliver’s Travels and Le Weekend, Alexander’s stage credits include Aliens at the Bush Theatre.

Completing this quintet will be Stefano Braschi and Derek Riddell. Braschi has previously worked with the acclaimed Michael Grandage on productions of Richard III and King Lear at the Donmar Warehouse. His television credits also include Miranda, Benidorm and Secret Diary Of A Call Girl.

Riddell will assume the role of Scottish dramatist JM Barrie. His stage credits include Victoria for the Royal Shakespeare Company in addition to television programmes including DCI Banks, Ugly Betty, State Of Mind and Clocking Off.

In John Logan’s remarkable new play, enchantment and reality collide as the real life inspirations for Peter Pan (Whishaw) and Alice In Wonderland (Dench) come face to face. The exploration of the brief encounter between Alice Liddell Hargreaves and Peter Llewelyn Davie, who met at the opening of a Lewis Carroll exhibition in 1932, lays bare the lives of these two extraordinary characters.

PETER AND ALICE is Logan’s first new play since Red, which went on to win six Tony Awards in 2010. Running from 9 March until 1 June, book your PETER AND ALICE tickets today!
