The brand new cast have been announced for the London production of Wicked.

It looks as if Alice Fearn will be sticking around Oz For Good as it has been announced this week that she will be assuming the role of Elphaba in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Alice, whose previous West End appearances include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Shrek the Musical and Les Miserables, will become permanently green from the 24 July 2017.

Joining her as best frenemy Glinda is Sophie Evans, runner up of BBC’s Over The Rainbow back in 2010. Since finishing the show, Sophie went on to appear as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium, so she is no stranger to the yellow brick road!

Taking over the role of Madame Morrible is Melanie La Barrie, who is currently part of Liverpool Everyman Theatre’s Everyman Company. Her West End appearances have included being part of the original casts for both Matilda and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables. Andy Hockley will be playing The Wizard after a very impressive stint of over 1000 performances as Monsieur Firmin in The Phantom of the Opera both in the West End and on tour. Making his professional debut as Boq is Jack Lansbury, a Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts graduate.

All current cast members with play their final performances on the 22 July 2017, with the new cast beginning on the 24 July 2017.
